Antoni Tapies La práctica del arte at Reina Sofia Musuem until the 24th of June 2024
On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Antoni Tàpies, the Reina Sofía Museum and the Fundació Antoni Tàpies are organizing one of the most complete exhibitions dedicated to the artist, Antoni Tapies La práctica del arte, with more than 220 works from museums and private collections all over the world. the world, showing his career between 1943 and 2012.

Olga de Soto at the Reina Sofia Museum until July the 1st 2024
Olga de Soto, choreographer, dancer and researcher born in 1972, presents Reconstrucción de una danza macabra(Reconstruction of a macabre dance), a new project included in the Fissures program of the Reina Sofía Museum.
This project revisits and expands a research project undertaken by de Soto more than a decade ago on Der grüne Tisch (The Green Table, 1932), an anti-war piece by the German choreographer that encapsulates a myth in the history of contemporary dance.
La Chiquita Piconera by Julio Romero de Torres ak Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza until the 28th July 2024
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the painter’s birth Julio Romero de Torres, the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza temporarily exhibits one of the artist’s most famous works, La Chiquita Piconera (Girl with Coal Brazier), painted between 1920 and 1930 shortly before his death and considered his pictorial testament.
On loan from the Julio Romero de Torres Museum in Córdoba, the painting can be seen until July 28 within the permanent collection exhibition in Room 45, a gallery dedicated to the interwar realist movements. It will be exhibited alongside works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Max Beckmann, Otto Dix, George Grosz and Balthus, among others.
