At Cavallerizza in Lucca, from 8th of December to 29th September, 30 masterpieces by Antonio Canova, undisputed master of Neoclassicism, are on display with the exhibition“Antonio Canova and the Neoclassicism in Lucca”.
For the occasion, sculptures and paintings will arrive in Lucca, coming from the Antonio Canova Gypsotheca Museum in Possagno and from prestigious public and private collections.
The exhibition itinerary aims at the search for beauty and its ideals, with over 100 works, starting from Canova and also passing through the most famous international exponents such as Francisco Goya and Francesco Hayez, Pompeo Batoni, Bernardino Nocchi, Stefano Tofanelli.
