Gabriele Basilico. Roma at Palazzo Altemps until the 23rd February 2025
The exhibition presents to the public for the first time an itinerary that crosses the main research developed out by Gabriele Basilico su Roma. Over fifty artworks within a narrative path specifically designed to dialogue with the spaces of Palazzo Altemps, where its rooms establish a direct relationship with the subjects of the photographs on display.
Caravaggio: the portrait unveiled at Palazzo Barberini. Until February 23rd, 2025
Until February 2025, a historical loan from a private collection will be hosted in the spaces of the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica: within the Sala Paesaggi di Palazzo Barberini the Ritratto di monsignor Maffeo Barberini, attributed by the main scholars to Caravaggio, will be and exhibited to the public for the first time.
With few brush strokes, Caravaggio depicts a Portrait in motion and reveals the state of mind and personality of the protagonist, an intellectual of the highest social sphere, monumental in his presence, but devoid of rhetoric.
Alighiero e Boetti. Raddoppiare dimezzando at the Accademia Nazionale in San Luca. Until 15th February 2025
Until the 15th of February 2025, the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome presents the exhibition Alighiero e Boetti. Raddoppiare dimezzando dedicated to Boetti, one of the most visionary and influential artists of the 20th century.
The exhibition offers an unusual journey through his work, in its most rigorous and conceptual as well as imaginative aspects.
Pietro Ruffo: l’ultimo meraviglioso minuto at Palazzo delle Esposizioni. From the 29th October to 16th February 2025
L’ ultimo meraviglioso minuto di Pietro Ruffo is the largest exhibition ever dedicated to the artist by a public institution.
The exhibition continues with the discovery of the first human traces, re-proposed through five large paintings from the Anthropocene Prehistory series. The exhibition ends with a reflection on Rome, seen and dissected in its various historical and geological phases.
The white Crucifixion by Marc Chagall at Museo Palazzo Cipolla. Until 27th January 2025
In the new Museo del Corso – Polo museale is on exhibition the famous painting The white crucifixion , masterpiece by Marc Chagall, in Palazzo Cipolla from the 27th of November 2024 to the 27th January 2025 with free entry.
This artwork, on lona from the Art Institute of Chicago, come in Rome for the very first time in a moment of great symbolic significance for the Jubilee, offering a message of hope and unity between religious cultures.
