Palazzo Braschi, in Rome, opens on February 20th the great exhibition The floating world. Ukiyoe. Visions from Japan: it can be visited until June 23rd 2024, the exhibition is an overview of approximately two hundred and fifty years of Japan under the military government of the Tokugawa.

The most important masters of ukiyoe – a well-known Japanese artistic printing technique – are represented with over 30 artists, including Utamaro, Hokusai, Sharaku and Eisen.

The floating world. Ukiyoe. Visions from Japan goes through an artistic journey of seven sections that accompany the visitor throughout the Edo period.

Among the masterpieces on display, we remember Hokusai’s Great Wave and Hiroshige’s triptych of the Three Whites.

Ticket’s price (exhibtion only ) : full 15€, reduced 13€.
