From the 27t of March, the Museo di Arti Decorative Accorsi Ometto, opens the exhibtion Turin anni 50 La grande stagione dell’informale.
The exhibition is focused on a crucial phase for Turin’s artistic scene’s that at the time was opening to international news becoming one of the center of the great Informale season. In the 1950s, a new language of free subjective expressiveness was established in Italy too, which opposed the twentieth-centuryism of the previous twenty years and went beyond the heated debate between realism and geometric abstractionism of the immediate post-war period.
On exhibtion can be foun more than seventy artworks made by around fifty artists both italian and not, such as Mario Merz, Pinot Gallizio, Emilio Vedova.
