INFINITY Michelangelo Pistoletto was inaugurated on March 18 at the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome and is already expected to be one of the most acclaimed exhibitions of 2023.

60 years of art on display

Michelangelo Pistoletto, born in 1933, brings to Rome nearly 60 years of art with fifty works and four large site-specific installations that kick off the exhibition season of the Chiostro.

This is an opportunity to share the historical works of the master in dialogue with the Renaissance architecture as well as new productions created for the spaces of the Chiostro.

A complete and fascinating narrative journey framed as a story and at the same time an experience that traverses the works symbolizing Michelangelo Pistoletto.

From historical to more recent, the works on display cover the years from 1962 to 2023: an exciting journey into the poetics and the world, the many worlds, of one of the masters of contemporary art.

The different is infinite

Infinity. Michelangelo Pistoletto has been described by its curator, Danilo Eccher – who previously curated Crazy The Madness in Contemporary Art at the Chiostro – as a “collective exhibition of a single artist”.

Indeed, there is Pistoletto who creates art in an infinity of ways, visions, shifts in perspective and readings of reality.

At the center of infinity is a single artist but, at the same time, there are also his many possibilities to be, to transform, to depict and represent himself, to tell, to multiply infinitely.

In the Nineties the Books, in the 2000s the mirror paintings along with projects related to the creation formula, Love Difference–Mediterranean Sea and Neon, to the Third Paradise.
