The Royal Academy of Spain, coinciding with its 150th anniversary, renews the invitation to the annual exhibition PROCESSI 150 from June 28, featuring works by artists and researchers in residence during the year 2022 – 2023.
As every year, PROCESSI 150 was preceded by the OPEN STUDIOS day in March.
On that occasion, the public was involved in the creative process leading to the final stage of the Roman stay of the scholarship holders.
PROCESSI 150 is open for visits until August 26.

Processi 150
In Processi 150, the developed activities are diverse.
They range from visual arts to literature and history, from architecture to fashion and music, with particular attention to the relationship with Rome and Italian culture: from contemporary political revisions to a figure to be rediscovered like Carla Lonzi, an important art historian who passed away too soon, from gender works to collaborative practices, from visual arts to music, from institutional culture to that produced in the neighborhoods of Rome and from civil society.

The Academy of Spain in Rome
The Academy of Spain was officially founded on August 8, 1873 with the publication of the decree establishing its creation. Since then, the succession of generations of artists who have stayed here has guaranteed the promotion of Spanish art and culture in Rome.
In 2023, the 150th anniversary of its foundation is celebrated, and the Institution has devised a commemorative program dedicated to those who are its true protagonists, the artists.
