Perfect Behaviors and the Theme of Change
The exhibition offers the opportunity to investigate and delve into the theme of change in individual and collective behaviors within today’s society, where we are often classified, measured, simulated, and reprogrammed.
Perfect Behaviors features a significant core of works by artists such as Universal Everything, Paolo Cirio, Eva and Franco Mattes, Brent Watanabe, Geumhyung Jeong, and James Bridle.
These are works aimed at achieving a common goal: to provide visitors with alternative narratives to those dictated by technology, helping to make visible what is invisible, even if close.
In a context where daily life is subject to increasingly sophisticated systems of data collection, the exhibition questions the idea of artificial intelligence as a powerful autonomous entity that can do without, in one way or another, human intervention.
Perfect Behaviors, on the contrary, aims to reaffirm that behind the tools for measuring interactions, there is always and inevitably someone’s intervention.
Generative neural networks analyze the archive that collects 21 years of transcripts of dreams by Mirek Amendant Hardiker, an American artist and former researcher at Stanford, who, starting from dreams, develops a radically new system around which the audiovisual performance unfolds.
