The exhibition of Roberto Ferri offers fascinating Baroque suggestions to visitors who, among the rooms of the Palazzo, can admire the masterpieces of the artist, one of the leading exponents of an art directly inspired by the masterpieces of Caravaggio.

Roberto Ferri the artist

Roberto Ferri is an Italian painter, born in 1978.

Initially self-taught, he moved to Rome in 1999, where he began to deepen his research on ancient painting, particularly from the beginning of the 16th century to the end of the 19th century.

He mainly dedicates himself to Caravaggesque painting and academic art, drawing inspiration from artists such as David, Ingres, Girodet, Géricault, Gleyre, and Bouguereau.

Roberto Ferri the exhibition

The exhibition is organized according to an anthology path that moves between the sacred and the profane.

The goal is to highlight the tireless and meticulous work of Ferri.

He is indeed skilled at transposing into his canvases precise references to the great art of the past, modifying its deeper nature with a visionary and dreamlike sensibility.

The works on display

Ferri mixes an extreme realism with a pure symbolism.

Among the exhibited canvases are splendid allegories of human impulses and sacred transpositions of spiritual tensions.

The artist, through the sensuality and plasticity of the body, highlights the most intimate truths of the human soul and its continuous and uninterrupted search for meaning.
In the exhibition, there are also large-scale works such as “The Shattered Delights,” or “Love, Death, and Dream”, a personified investigation of the extremes that govern the threads of life.

Moreover, the intense relationship of Roberto Ferri with graphics is well represented by the displayed drawings: between shadow and silence, the figures seem to propose a muted and rhythmic dialogue, whose internal heartbeat seems to echo the most ancient vital rhythm of humanity.

The focal point of Ferri’s artistic research reveals itself to be life, in all its infinite and most mysterious nuances.
