Andy Warhol. Serial Identity
In the large spaces of the museum, over 200 works are displayed along with a significant section dedicated to the films of the American artist, one dedicated to Andy Warhol TV, and one to the complete series of vinyl covers created by Warhol.
The exhibition indeed details the multifaceted and rich production of the father of American Pop Art, who was a painter, illustrator, screenwriter, film and television producer, director, cinematographer, and actor.

From the Index Book to the Exploding Plastic Inevitable
The exhibition path opens with the Index Book from 1967: it is an illustrated book that catapults the viewer into the atmospheres of the Factory, Warhol’s famous New York studio.
Continuing, the exhibition is divided into 15 sections, each focusing on an aspect of the production and the meteoric career of the most famous artist of Pop Art.
Starting from the beginnings with Genesis Identity, Consumerism in Commercial Identities, Nature with Colorful Identities, the Interview Magazine, the Death which was a recurring theme in the artist’s poetry, then moving on to what Warhol defined as the myths of the West to conclude finally with publishing.

It is also worth noting that for the first time in Italy, Exploding Plastic Inevitable, an extraordinary performance by Warhol with the Velvet Underground and Nico, is presented to the public in an immersive format.
Andy Warhol. Serial Identity aims to emphasize how his research is characterized by absolute versatility and a desire for transformation.
This is an exhibition that tells Warhol from all angles, retracing his entire creative universe: from the early drawings for publishing and fashion to the most important pop works where the main protagonists are musicians, directors, designers, politicians, actors, and the commercial brands of large companies, which became icons of a new way of living and consuming, banal elements of everyday life elevated to contemporary icons.
The exhibition path concludes at the Milano Gate of Milan Malpensa Airport, with a large video wall dedicated to Andy Warhol TV and a spectacular installation.
