From Cindy Sherman to Francesco Vezzoli: 80 contemporary artists at Palazzo Reale in Milan until May 4, 2025
From 7th Mrch to 4th May 2025, Palazzo Reale in Milano hosts for the first time worldwide “DA CINDY SHERMAN A FRANCESCO VEZZOLI. 80 ARTISTI CONTEMPORANEI”, with 150 artworks made by 80 great artists in the contemporary art world from all over the world.
The exhibition dedicates the opening space to Cindy Sherman, emblematic artist, whose 6 works open an immediate reflection on female identity. Following artists such as Nan Goldin, Mattew Barney e Kiki Smith, Francis Alys, Elizabeth Peyton, Francesco Vezzoli e Dana Schutz, Jennifer Packer , Hayv Kahraman, and manu others.
Lonely Are All Bridges a Fondazione ICA until the 15th March 2025
Fondazione ICA Milan inaugurates its 2025 exhibition program with a two-person exhibition project, with the exceptional curatorship of the artist Maurizio Cattelan and Marta Papini. The exhibition is intitled Lonely Are All Bridges. Birgit Jürgenssen and Cinzia Ruggeri and will be open to the public from Thursday 16 January to Saturday 15 March 2025. The exhibition celebrates the work of two iconic artists, Birgit Jürgenssen (Vienna, 1949 – 2003) and Cinzia Ruggeri (Milan, 1942 – 2019), who never met in person, but are ideally in dialogue through their works, visions and reflections.
Casorati at Palazzo Reale in Milano unitil the 15 February to 29 June 2025
Casorati at Palazzo Reale offers a comprehensive reinterpretation of the artist’s work, retracing in chronological order the different periods of his production, from his debut in the early twentieth century to the 1950s. Over one hundred artworks are presented for the occasion, including paintings on canvas and wood, sculptures, graphic works from the symbolist period, and sketches for scenography of works created for the Teatro alla Scala, all of absolute importance and refined quality, selected for their exemplary exhibition history.
Lifetime Achievement Photography: Italian photography’s tribute to the masters of the Compasso d’Oro until October 18, 2025
Fotografia alla Carriera. Homage to Italian photography to the masters of the Compasso d’Oro, the exhibition dedicated to the Compasso d’Oro lifetime achievement awards. A collection of 151 images in poster format, a mirror of contemporary Italian photography.
The main subject is the photography, that offers an interesting reading of the Compasso d’Oro alla Carriera. This exhibtions presents as a chance to reflect about the link between design and fotography, a dialogue that goes beyond the image’s truly technical of the image which contributed to the success of design products and to the diffusion of a real photography of design.
Tarek Atoui: Improvisation in 10 Days al Pirelli HangarBicocca until July 10th 2025
From February 6th to July 20th 2025 Pirelli HangarBicocca presents “Improvisation in 10 Days”, the first solo exhibition in Italy by Tarek Atoui, an electroacoustic artist and composer who uses the medium of sound to create installations, complex acoustic environments and collaborative performances.
