Le ready-made : de quoi s’agit-il ? <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pour simplifier au maximum, le ready-made<\/strong> consiste \u00e0 transformer un objet<\/strong> d’usage courant, en le retirant de son contexte, en une \u0153uvre d’art<\/strong> sans intervention suppl\u00e9mentaire de l’artiste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fountain de l’original de 1917<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fountain<\/a> <\/strong> est une \u0153uvre de ready-made<\/strong> r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par l’artiste en 1917<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malheureusement, la version originale n’a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9e au public et a \u00e9t\u00e9 perdue, certains affirmant m\u00eame qu’elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 jet\u00e9e \u00e0 la poubelle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 ce jour, plusieurs copies existent, dont une est expos\u00e9e \u00e0 la Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea<\/strong> de Rome.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qu’est-ce que la Fontana ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

C’est un commun urinatoire sign\u00e9 “R. Mutt<\/strong>” et intitul\u00e9 “Fountain<\/strong> “. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par certains historiens de l’art et th\u00e9oriciens sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s comme l’une des plus grandes \u0153uvres d’art du vingti\u00e8me si\u00e8cle et, sans aucun doute, l’\u0153uvre qui a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 \u00e0 jamais la conception de l’art moderne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les l\u00e9gendes sur l’origine de l’\u0153uvre<\/strong> sont diverses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On dit que Duchamp<\/strong> a achet\u00e9 l’urinatoire \u00e0 New York.<\/strong> Arriv\u00e9 dans son atelier, il a tourn\u00e9 l’objet de quatre-vingt-dix degr\u00e9s et y a \u00e9crit “R. Mutt 1917<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon une autre version, l’\u0153uvre<\/strong> est le r\u00e9sultat d’une collaboration : Duchamp<\/strong>, dans une lettre \u00e0 sa s\u0153ur, \u00e9crit en effet avoir con\u00e7u le ready-made<\/strong> gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une amie, qui lui a envoy\u00e9 l’urinatoire sous le pseudonyme “Richard Mutt”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pourquoi Richard Mutt<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Justement, la signature “R. Mutt<\/strong>“, avec laquelle la Fontana<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9e, est l’un des plus grands myst\u00e8res<\/strong> encore non r\u00e9solus concernant l’\u0153uvre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La signature a \u00e9t\u00e9 interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par de nombreux chercheurs, arrivant \u00e0 chaque fois \u00e0 des conclusions diff\u00e9rentes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par exemple, certains la relient \u00e0 la bande dessin\u00e9e Mutt and Jeff<\/strong>, d’autres soutiennent plut\u00f4t qu’elle fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au mot allemand “armut”,<\/strong> c’est-\u00e0-dire “pauvret\u00e9”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est ensuite Duchamp<\/strong> lui-m\u00eame qui a sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que le “R”<\/strong> signifiait “Richard”<\/strong>, qui dans le slang fran\u00e7ais d\u00e9signe un sac contenant de l’argent.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon ces indications, la traduction de l’\u0153uvre peut \u00eatre rendue grosso modo, pour un jeu de mots conceptuel, comme “veau d’or scatologique”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
