To celebrate the arrival of spring here are the must see spring 2024 exhibitions<\/strong> around Italy: the protagonist is certainly the Renaissance<\/strong> which is on display both in Bassano del Grappa<\/a><\/strong> and in Forl\u00ec,<\/a><\/strong> where the Pre-Raphaelites<\/strong> arrived.<\/p>\n\n

Renaissance in black and white The art of engraving in Venice (1494-1615) at the Civic Museum of Bassano del Grappa until 23 June 2024 <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

From March 2nd to June 23rd 2024,<\/strong> the Musei Civici in Bassano del Grappa<\/strong><\/a>present the exhibition Renaissance in black and white. The art of engraving in Venice (1494-1615)<\/em><\/strong>,<\/a> an exceptional exhibition dedicated to Venetian engraving<\/strong> and the authentic revolution that was the birth and spread of printing.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The exhibition offers 90 graphic masterpieces<\/strong> created by the major artists of the Renaissance including Andrea Mantegna,<\/a> Albrecht D\u00fcrer,<\/a> Jacopo de\u2019 Barbari, Tiziano<\/a>, Tintoretto<\/a>, Veronese,<\/a> Cornelis Cort, Agostino Carracci, Giuseppe Scolari.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Anselm Kiefer Fallen Angels at Palazzo Strozzi until 21 July 2024 <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

From the 22nd of March to 21st of July 2024<\/strong>, Palazzo Strozzi<\/strong><\/a>presents Anselm Kiefer. Fallen Angels<\/a>, <\/strong>new major exhibition conceived and created together with one of the most important artists of the 20th and 21st centuries: a journey through historical works and new productions, including a new major work created in dialogue with the Renaissance courtyard.The expression \u201cfallen angels\u201d<\/strong> indicates the angels expelled from Paradise following their rebellion against God. This symbolic image becomes the starting point of the exhibition: a journey through allegories, figures and forms that reflect on identity, poetry, historical events, different philosophical thoughts. <\/p>\n\n

Mirabilia et Antiquaria in Villa d’Este until July the 7th 2024 <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

In Villa d’Este<\/strong>,<\/a> starting from the 16th of May until the 7h of July 2024<\/strong> l\u2019Istituto Autonomo Villa Adriana e Villa d\u2019Este – VILL\u00c6 hosts Mirabilia et Antiquaria<\/a><\/strong>: artworks for a collection, exhibition of artists’ works Stefano Arienti, Flavio Favelli, Nico Vascellari e Nicola Verlato<\/strong>, recently became part of the Institute’s contemporary art collection.<\/p>\n\n

In exhibition<\/strong>, the dialogue of the new collection with the deposits and works in situ underlines the intent to continue the principle of innovation and modernity <\/strong>which has always characterized the existence of Villa Adriana and Villa d\u2019Este<\/strong>avant-garde at the time of their foundation and who dictated the principles of aesthetics in their era.<\/p>\n\n

AtAccademia Carrara in Bergamo<\/a><\/strong>, the exhibition Naples in Bergamo: A look at the 17th century in the De Vito collection and in the city<\/a><\/strong> explores the wonder of painting<\/strong>, among the naturalism and baroque<\/strong>, excesses and contradictions<\/strong>, through over forty works, with specially carried out restorations and new studies. <\/p>\n\n

The important group of paintings<\/strong> from the Giuseppe and Margaret De Vito Foundation are joined by unpublished canvases from the Accademia Carrara<\/strong> collection and works on loan from city churches and the Bergamo area.<\/p>\n\n
