Palazzo Braschi<\/strong>, in Rome<\/strong>, opens on February 20th the great exhibition The floating world. Ukiyoe. Visions from Japan<\/strong>: it can be visited until June 23rd 2024<\/strong>, the exhibition is an overview of approximately two hundred and fifty years of Japan<\/strong> under the military government of the Tokugawa.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The most important masters of ukiyoe – a well-known Japanese artistic printing technique – are represented with over 30 artists,<\/strong> including Utamaro, Hokusai, Sharaku and Eisen.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The floating world. Ukiyoe. Visions from Japan<\/strong> goes through an artistic journey of seven sections that accompany the visitor throughout the Edo period.<\/p>\n\n

Among the masterpieces on display, we remember Hokusai’s Great Wave and Hiroshige’s triptych of the Three Whites.<\/p>\n\n
