Friday December 1st 2023<\/strong> begins int Sant’Ignazio di Loyola<\/strong> church in Rome<\/a><\/strong>, the exhibtion “Monne e Madonne. The seventeenth century in Naples, another<\/em> Renaissance”<\/a><\/strong> cuarated by the Fondazione De Chiara De Maio<\/a><\/strong> in Solofra.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The title of the exhibition refers to two terms that in the Middle Ages were used as a name of honor (Madonna)<\/strong> and its respective abbreviation (Monna)<\/strong> to indicate a woman of high society.<\/p>\n\n

The exhibition<\/strong> will highlight the painters’ effort to enhance the physical harmony or strength of women’s feelings, through artworks that are somehow related with Naples and the South<\/strong>, the land of the most important artists of the seventeenth century.<\/p>\n\n

The exhibtion will be open until January the 7th 2024.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n
