{"id":104717,"date":"2021-12-23T12:49:45","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T11:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.artsupp.com\/the-restoration-of-the-annunciation-of-love\/"},"modified":"2021-12-23T12:49:45","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T11:49:45","slug":"the-restoration-of-the-annunciation-of-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.artsupp.com\/en\/the-restoration-of-the-annunciation-of-love\/","title":{"rendered":"The Restoration of &#8220;The Annunciation of Love&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the conclusion of the work, which began last January, on Friday, December 17, 2021, the restoration of the sculptural group in patinated plaster colored bronze depicting <em>The Annunciation of Love<\/em> by Filippo Cifariello (Molfetta, 1864-Naples 1936) was presented at the Conference Room of the \u201cCorrado Giaquinto\u201d Pinacoteca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restoration of the work was entirely funded by Coop Alleanza 3.0, following the suggestion of Fondaco Italia, a company active in the enhancement of cultural heritage, which promoted an online national vote on the Coop Alleanza 3.0 website. The chosen project (among two candidates) received 22,294 votes, with 71% of the voters in favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"576\" height=\"437\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.artsupp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/immagine-risultato-concorso-Coop.-Opera-Tua-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85489\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.artsupp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/immagine-risultato-concorso-Coop.-Opera-Tua-.jpg 576w, https:\/\/blog.artsupp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/immagine-risultato-concorso-Coop.-Opera-Tua--300x228.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><figcaption>Evaluation of works to be restored<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The restoration work was carried out by the company \u201cCosimo Cilli-Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art\u201d based in Barletta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plaster, first exhibited in 1899 at the III Biennale di Venezia as a \u201cgroup for fountain,\u201d was shortly thereafter translated into marble for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and subsequently into bronze for at least two private Italian owners.
