The Search for Beauty<\/strong>. The Cavallini Sgarbi Collection<\/strong><\/a> is in Ascoli Piceno<\/a><\/strong>, at the Palazzo dei Capitani<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It gathers the main works of the famous collection<\/strong> Cavallini Sgarbi<\/em><\/strong> aiming to create an intimate atmosphere typical of a private collection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is the result of the work of Vittorio Sgarbi<\/strong> together with his mother Rina Cavallini<\/strong>, who acquired the works at various auctions around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Palazzo dei Capitani<\/strong> hosts in its rooms numerous works, including paintings and sculptures<\/strong>, dating from the 15th to the 19th century, as well as terracottas by Matteo Civitali and Agostino de Fundulis<\/strong>, and an extraordinary collection of precious paintings<\/strong> dated to the late 15th century and early 16th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the artists are the painters – Boccaccio Boccaccino, Francesco Zaganelli, Giovanni Battista Benvenuti known as l\u2019Ortolano, Nicol\u00f2 Pisano, Benvenuto Tisi known as il Garofalo, and also Liberale da Verona, Jacopo da Valenza, Antonio da Crevalcore, Giovanni Agostino da Lodi, Johannes Hispanus, Bartolomeo di David, Lambert Sustris.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cavallini Sgarbi Collection<\/strong> is realized in collaboration with the Cavallini Sgarbi Foundation, the Elisabetta Sgarbi Foundation, and the Cultural Association Culturalmente Insieme<\/strong> and is produced by Contemplazioni,<\/strong> which oversees its artistic direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manuel Tols\u00e1 from the photographic perspective of Joaqu\u00edn B\u00e9rchez at the Palladio Museum in Vicenza<\/strong> until October 16, 2022<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Manuel Tols\u00e1 from the photographic perspective of Joaqu\u00edn B\u00e9rchez<\/a><\/strong> offers a critical and visual reading of some episodes of the artistic production of Manuel Tols\u00e1<\/strong>, sculptor and architect active in Spain and Mexico at the end of the 18th century and early 19th century.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photographs of Joaqu\u00edn B\u00e9rchez<\/strong> capture the peculiar classical environments, with sparkling fragments of stucco and moldings, architectural orders caught in the dense silences of walls, facades, and domes<\/strong> portrayed against the backdrop of today’s Mexico, loggias and staircases immersed in a glacial, almost hypnotic aura, all aspects that testify to the exceptional quality of the works of the Valencian artist<\/strong> and, at the same time, the rare ability of the photographer to reveal their plastic values to recreate entirely new images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shots<\/strong> of the photographer have been exhibited in numerous Spanish cities and in various international venues including the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute<\/strong> in New York, the Palladio Museum<\/a> in Vicenza<\/a><\/strong>, the University of Palermo<\/strong>, the Real Academia de Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> in Rome, the Colegio de Miner\u00eda<\/strong> in Mexico City, the Ducal Palace of Camerino<\/strong>, and the Museu de Arte Popular<\/strong> in Lisbon. Since 2003, his photographs have illustrated the covers of the magazine \u201cAnnali di architettura\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women in Balance 1955 – 1965<\/em> at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence<\/strong> until April 18, 2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum<\/a> in Florence<\/a> <\/strong>the exhibition “Women in Balance. 1955 – 1965<\/a><\/strong>“,<\/strong> pays tribute to the female world and particularly to Wanda Miletti Ferragamo. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wanda Miletti Ferragamo<\/strong>, wife of Salvatore Ferragamo<\/strong>, after her husband’s death in 1960<\/strong>, became the intelligent and solid guide of the Salvatore Ferragamo<\/strong> brand. Taking on her husband’s entrepreneurial legacy, Wanda Miletti Ferragamo<\/strong> made a cultural choice<\/strong> by transforming a women’s footwear workshop into a fashion house<\/strong>, now carried on by her children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The female presence in Italian history during the fifties and sixties<\/strong> illuminates some aspects of the country’s modernization, a process in which women are both subjects and objects at the same time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition path<\/strong> is a journey<\/strong> towards the construction of being a woman<\/strong>, a result of both the historical context and personal exploration. The narrative emphasizes that women, by entering the public scene, have also chosen nuanced solutions in a constant search for new balances<\/strong> between work and family relationships<\/strong>, which can only highlight the continuous, imaginative, and extraordinary creativity<\/strong> that has characterized and continues to distinguish women’s lives, their choices, and a different vision of the world and life; however, there is no doubt that gender difference has acted and still acts in a thousand subtle ways, shaping behaviors, individual models, and social relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canova, Gloria Trevigiana at the Luigi Bailo Museum in Treviso until September 25, 2022<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCanova, Gloria Trevigiana<\/a><\/strong>\u201d is on display in the section of the newBailo Museum<\/a><\/strong> dedicated entirely to the Nineteenth Century<\/strong>. The exhibition’s journey into the Nineteenth Century begins with the portraits of two of the \u201cfounding fathers\u201d of the Civic Pinacoteca: Margherita Prati Grimaldi<\/strong>, in the luminous painting by Andrea Appiani<\/strong>, and Sante Giacomelli<\/strong>, in the portrait by Natale Schiavoni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margherita Prati Grimaldi<\/strong> donated to the Municipality of Treviso<\/strong> in 1851<\/strong> a collection of paintings intended to form the first nucleus of the Civic Pinacoteca<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Giacomelli Collection<\/strong> come the paintings of Francesco Podesti<\/strong>, Ludovico Lipparini<\/strong>, Eugenio Moretti Larese<\/strong>, Odorico Politi<\/strong>, Michelangelo Grigoletti<\/strong>, Natale Schiavoni<\/strong>, Ippolito Caffi,<\/strong> Luigi Querena<\/strong>. \u201cCanova, Gloria Trevigiana<\/strong>\u201d also exhibits Family Group by Francesco Hayez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the paintings<\/strong>, ceramics<\/strong> are also presented, in homage to the great Treviso manufacturers of what today we would define as design production. Further enriching the exhibition path is a selection of 30 extraordinary artistic shots of Canova by Fabio Zonta. The photographer’s interpretative ‘lens’ highlights the three-dimensionality of the works, accentuating details, subjects, and expressiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
