Collection: the photographers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

COLLECTION<\/a>: 150 photographs<\/strong> from the Bachelot<\/strong> collection are at Villa Medici<\/strong>, in Rome<\/strong>, until February 26, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition currently at Villa Medici<\/strong>, home of the French Academy in Rome<\/strong>, hosts until the end of February “Collection<\/strong>” featuring works from the collection of Florence and Damien Bachelot.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition path includes major photographers and artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson<\/a>, Vivian Maier<\/a>, Robert Doisneau<\/a>, Luigi Ghirri<\/a>, Sabine Weiss<\/a>, Mario Giacomelli, Nan Goldin, Paul Graham, Harry Gruyaert, Dave Heath, Laura Henno<\/strong>, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collection at Villa Medici: the exhibition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

COLLECTION<\/strong> is divided between two major photographic traditions<\/strong>: the French<\/strong> humanist tradition of the early 20th century and the American street photography.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition<\/strong>, thanks to the photographs<\/strong> displayed throughout the spaces of the Villa<\/strong>, allows visitors an in-depth and precise look at the human condition<\/strong> and consequently at man<\/strong> and his relationship with the environment<\/strong> that surrounds him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are images of urban landscapes<\/strong>, from metropolises like New York<\/strong>, as well as more peripheral and less chaotic places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From urban landscapes to the faces and people<\/strong> who inhabit them, helping the visitor traverse over 20 years of photography history.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
