The Museum<\/strong> M9<\/strong> hosts the great Venetian painter in a retrospective<\/strong> dedicated to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vedova, Father of Venetian Painting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emilio Vedova<\/a><\/strong>, considered one of the leading exponents of Venetian painting<\/strong>, was born in Venice<\/strong> on August 9, 1919<\/strong> to a family of artisan-workers<\/strong> and began working intensively as a self-taught artist from the 1930s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He certainly had a full and eventful life that coincided with the post-war years, marked by great political and cultural ferment; he was anti-fascist and participated in the Resistance between 1944 and 1945.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1946, he signed the manifesto \u201cBeyond Guernica<\/strong>\u201d in Milano<\/strong>, and in the same year in Venice<\/strong>, he was among the founders of the Nuova Secessione Italiana<\/strong>, which later became the Fronte Nuovo delle Arti.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early 1950s, he created his famous series of works: Clash of Situations, Cycle of Protest, Cycle of Nature<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 1961, he worked on the Plurimi<\/strong><\/em>, first those in Venice and then those created in Berlin<\/strong> between 1963 and 1964<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rivoluzione Vedova<\/strong> at the M9 Museum in Mestre<\/strong> includes 130 works<\/strong> that present to the visitor art<\/strong> and history<\/strong> between the 20th and 21st centuries, a period filled with political and cultural events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rivoluzione Vedova<\/strong> is structured in two levels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On one side, painting<\/strong> and the sign<\/strong> are the protagonists; on the other, the history<\/strong> of those years becomes the protagonist with works arranged in chronological sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
