The European Night of Museums<\/strong> returns on May 13<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a few days after the Europe Day<\/strong> celebrated today, May 9<\/strong>, the European Night of Museums<\/strong> also takes place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative<\/strong>, which was born under the patronage of the Council of Europe<\/strong>, UNESCO<\/strong>, and ICOM<\/strong>, aims to enhance and create a more felt and coherent European cultural identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s theme is “sustainability and well-being<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Italy<\/strong>, many state cultural sites will be open from 8 PM to 2 AM for a symbolic cost of 1 euro<\/strong>, unless otherwise indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the participating museums<\/strong> in major Italian cities, we highlight:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rome<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the city of Rome<\/a><\/strong>, the spaces of the Rome Museum System<\/strong> and the civic museums<\/strong> participating in the event include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capitoline Museums, Centrale Montemartini, Trajan’s Markets \u2013 Museum of the Imperial Fora, Museum of the Ara Pacis, Museum of Rome, Napoleonic Museum<\/a>, Museum of Rome in Trastevere, Pietro Canonica Museum at Villa Borghese<\/a>, Museums of Villa Torlonia (Casina delle Civette, Casino Nobile, Serra Moresca), Museum of the Walls, Carlo Bilotti Museum<\/a> \u2013 Orange Garden of Villa Borghese, Giovanni Barracco Museum of Ancient Sculpture, Civic Museum of Zoology, Museum of the Roman Republic and Garibaldi Memory<\/a>, Gallery of Modern Art, Museum of Casal de’ Pazzi<\/a><\/strong>; also Palazzo Cipolla<\/a><\/strong> and Forof<\/strong><\/a> participate in the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Florence<\/a><\/strong>, don’t miss the Uffizi Galleries<\/strong>, which will be exceptionally open from 7 PM to 10 PM with the last entry at 9 PM, and the Accademia Gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Royal Museums of Turin<\/a><\/strong>, entry will cost 1\u20ac from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galleria d’Arte Moderna<\/a>,<\/strong> will be open until 11:00 PM, with the last entry at 10:00 PM.
Starting from 6:00 PM, a reduced fee of \u20ac1 will apply for the permanent collections and integrated exhibitions + \u20ac1 for the exhibition Viaggio al termine della statuaria.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAO Museo d’Arte Orientale <\/a><\/strong>open until 11:00 PM, with the last entry at 10:00 PM. Starting from 6:00 PM, a reduced fee of \u20ac1 will apply for the permanent collections + \u20ac1 for the temporary exhibition Buddha10 Reloaded.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palazzo Madama<\/a> <\/strong>with a reduced ticket price of \u20ac1 <\/strong>the public can access the permanent collections and La porta della Citt\u00e0.<\/strong> For an additional \u20ac1 <\/strong>you can visit the exhibition Bizantini. Luoghi, simboli e comunit\u00e0 di un impero millenario<\/em>.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
