Sembra Vivo, the exhibition<\/strong> and the artists <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Arriving in Rome<\/a><\/strong>, Sembra Vivo! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an exhibition dedicated to hyperrealist sculpture<\/strong>, showcased with 43 mega-installations<\/strong> by 29 contemporary artists<\/strong>, all internationally recognized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The artists<\/strong> of Sembra Vivo!<\/strong> are numerous. From Maurizio Cattelan<\/a><\/strong>, with iconic works such as the pigeons<\/strong> from \u201cGhosts<\/strong>\u201d or the famous banana titled \u201cComedian<\/strong>\u201d, to Ron Mueck<\/strong> – Australian artist born in 1958 – with his gigantic head of a man \u201cDark Place<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside these great interpreters, we also find George Segal, Carole Feuerman, Duane Hanson<\/strong> and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hyperrealist sculptures <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The hyperrealist sculptures<\/strong> are so close to reality that it becomes difficult to distinguish a real body from a work of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition<\/strong> aims to provoke, question, and unite<\/strong> the artists who have sparked discussions, bringing visitors into a mental short circuit, astonished by such unsettling verisimilitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though aware that the sculptures are not real, the skin, hair (real human hair), beards, and hands seem to tell us otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the naked bodies scandalize, the eyes hypnotize, and the dimensions, sometimes perfectly scaled and sometimes not, confuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sembra Vivo<\/strong>, conceived by the Institut f\u00fcr Kulturaustausch<\/strong>, curated by Maximilian Letze<\/strong> with Nicolas Ballario<\/strong> and produced and organized by Arthemisia<\/strong>, can be visited until October 8, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
