This weekend, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September,<\/strong> the European Heritage Days<\/strong>, also known as European Heritage Days,<\/strong> return.<\/p>\n\n\n

The European Heritage Days<\/strong> have been promoted since 1991<\/strong> thanks to the support of the European Commission<\/strong> and in Italy since 1995.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

This year they have the theme of sustainability as their common thread with the title “Patrimonio InVita”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The European Heritage Days<\/strong> obviously involve not only Italian museums and institutions, but also those of all other countries which organize various events and initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n

The European days for sustainable cultural heritage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

This year the theme chosen in Italy is that of heritage<\/strong>, widely shared also at European level following the international slogan of “Living Heritage”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The objective is to reflect on the cultural heritage, spread throughout the national territory, the cultural values, traditions, practices and ways of living, the various forms of knowledge<\/strong> inherited from past generations.<\/p>\n\n\n

Museums and institutions joining<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

On Saturday and Sunday,<\/strong> in all participating museums, you can join a series of initiatives<\/strong> such as guided tours or extraordinary openings, also in the evening,<\/strong> at the symbolic cost of 1 euro.<\/strong> Below are some of the museums and institutions that have decided to participate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
