The Milano Art Week<\/strong><\/a> 2026 will take place from April 13 to 19, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same dates, Miart<\/strong>, the international fair of modern and contemporary art, will also be held. Days filled in Milano<\/strong> with more than 350 events<\/strong>, including 60 openings, 50 workshop talks and presentations, over 50 guided tours, and studio visits<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Milano Art Week<\/a><\/strong> is the week of art in all its forms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal<\/strong> of the week is to transform Milan into a true stage for contemporary art, capable of exploring the world around us, raising questions about the present and the future through art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events of the Milanese art week<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The events of Milano Art Week are numerous, scattered across all the museums and exhibition spaces in the city.<\/strong> Below is a brief selection of some of the exhibitions and events<\/strong> happening during those days in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you want to see?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Among the most anticipated events of this edition of Milano Art Week is the exhibition THE ONLY TRUE ANARCHY IS THAT OF POWER<\/em><\/strong> at the PAC Padiglione d\u2019Arte Contemporanea<\/strong> \u2013 which opens Milano Art Week on April 13<\/strong> with a performance by Australian artist Marco Fusinato<\/strong> \u2013 and the site-specific work \u03a0\u03b1\u03c1\u03bd\u03b1\u03c3\u03c3\u03cc\u03c2 \/ Parnassus<\/em><\/strong> created specifically by Letia (Letizia Cariello)<\/strong> for the Sala del Parnaso at the GAM \u2013 Galleria d\u2019Arte Moderna.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Museo del Novecento<\/strong> continues and strengthens its efforts to enhance its collection through a series of new projects that specifically and broadly intervene in the spaces and exhibition devices of the museum: salut! hallo! hello!<\/em><\/strong> by Diego Marcon<\/strong> becomes part of the ACACIA Collection<\/strong> donated to the museum, while the FOCUS900<\/strong> program is enriched with Vedere l\u2019aria<\/em><\/strong> by Bruno Munari<\/strong>; on the ground floor, the \u201cquadreria\u201d of the FORUM900<\/strong> renews the permanent path through a selection of contemporary works added to the collection over the years, and LOUNGE900<\/strong> presents the reinstallation of a selection of works from the Collezione Spagna Bellora<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Palazzo Reale<\/strong>, the exhibition program continues with Le Alchimiste<\/em><\/strong>, the new impressive exhibition by Anselm Kiefer<\/strong>; Metafisica\/Metafisiche<\/em><\/strong>, Robert Mapplethorpe. The Forms of Desire<\/em><\/strong> and Macchiaioli<\/em><\/strong>. At MUDEC \u2013 Museo delle Culture<\/strong>, Il Senso della Neve<\/em><\/strong> continues, along with the site-specific installation The Moment the Snow Melts<\/em><\/strong> by Chiharu Shiota<\/strong>; at the Castello Sforzesco<\/strong>, Leonardo Parlante<\/em><\/strong>, a project by Sabrina D\u2019Alessandro<\/strong> that recovers the “otherwise lost” words of Leonardo from the Trivulziano Codex, continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These proposals are complemented by those from private institutions such as Fondazione Prada<\/strong>, where the new multimedia project by Cao Fei<\/strong> and the site-specific intervention by Mona Hatoum<\/strong> at the Largo Isarco location will be ongoing, while the project by Hito Steyerl<\/strong> will still be visible at the Observatory location. Pirelli HangarBicocca<\/strong> presents The House That Jack Built<\/em><\/strong>, a retrospective on the thirty-year research of Rirkrit Tiravanija<\/strong> around spatial and architectural practice, and Rebecca<\/em><\/strong>, the first major institutional exhibition of Benni Bosetto<\/strong>, which will activate on April 18, 2026<\/strong> with a full day of performances<\/strong>. In the spaces of Triennale Milano<\/strong>, the monographic exhibition Andrea Branzi by Toyo Ito: Continuous Present<\/em><\/strong> reflects on the intersections between art, architecture, and design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program of Milano Art Week then extends to other city institutions, including the Istituto Svizzero<\/strong>, with the exhibition of Romane de Watteville<\/strong> and the evening of screenings dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Mousse Magazine.<\/strong> And then there\u2019s Fondazione ICA Milano<\/strong>, Fondazione Luigi Rovati, Gallerie d\u2019Italia \u2013 Milano, Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Museo Bagatti Valsecchi, Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, ADI Design Museum<\/strong> which hosts the exhibition of participants in the 29th edition of the Compasso d\u2019Oro Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
